Meats and Beans
Eating 5 to 7 ounces each day of foods high in proteins important. A 1-ounce serving is:
- 1 ounce of lean beef, pork, chicken, turkey or fish.
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- ¼ cup cooked beans, dry peas or lentils
- 1 tablespoon nuts or seeds
